AUBURN — K&K Excavation beat top-ranked NASC 7-4 in an Auburn Rec men’s softball showdown.

Jason Fogg , Matt Reny and Nick St.Amand provided stellar defense. Repeat hitters were Matt Reny, Jesse Boulay, Ron Brown, Jason Fogg, Jake Leavitt, Jerry Guimond, Jon Keating and Chad Guimond.

Keith Perry was the winning pitcher. K&K will meet Cascades in its final game of the regular season.

Riverview wins two

AUBURN — Riverview Dental picked up two more vitories this week to improve its overall record to 10-2 on the season.

The Dentalmen first paved their way past J-Mac’s concrete 19-8 at Lakeview Field. Mike Dyer, Brian Dubois, Ray Bolduc, Toby Tiner, Jr. and Gary Smith led the Riverview attack with three hits apiece. Smith walloped a tremendous home run in the second inning to set the tone. Del Cooper picked up the mound win and added three hits to help his cause.

In the battle of local dental offices, Riverview polished Taylor Brook Dental 16-4 at Pettengill Park. Ben Lachance led the cleaning with four hits. Cooper, Tiner and Alan Sias also added three hits apiece. Matt Hiscock made several outstanding plays at third to set the tone defensively. Cooper again picked up the win on the mound.

Riverview will now face a key test against 10-2 NAPA.
