I was pleased to read the letter by Nancy Willard, printed Aug. 6. She did a great job showing how the propaganda machine of big wind and their bought support works. She has been a member of the Lakes Association who got a donation from big wind.

She got Jet Skis banned from area lakes because of the noise but thinks the wind farm is great? I don’t recall reading about the noise complaints from Jet Skis, but I have from the wind farms.

Jets Skis were banned by Angus King, whose company built the Record Hill wind farm in Roxbury. No bias there, right?

I have read other examples of big wind’s propaganda machine containing personal attacks on concerned citizens, impugning their character, and education from “good neighbor” Tom Carroll of Patriot Renewables.

At the Dixfield selectmen’s meeting on July 23, Carroll was very adamant that the only mountain the company looked at in Dixfield was Col. Holman, but at the selectmen’s meeting Aug. 27, he informed people that it’s not just Col. Holman Mountain they want to build the wind farm on, but also on Burnt and Little Mountains; three of our mountains, not just one, and that has been the plan from day one.

First time I have heard of it.

Makes me wonder what else he hasn’t told people during the past three years.

People should beware of the propaganda. Consider the source and use a little critical thinking.

Norman Mitchell, Dixfield
