ARNOLD, Md. — Jeanne d, Arc (Ouellette) Vachon, 81, a resident of Arnold, died Sept. 7, at her home.

She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Lewiston, and attended St. Dominic High School and St. Peter and Paul. She married Lucien Vachon, June 20, 1953. Her past residences include Maine, Germany, New York, Japan, and Maryland.

Jeanne worked as a cafeteria worker in school, crossing guard and a AACC teacher. She was a member of the Girl Scouts of America, Pets on Wheels, Life Enrichment, and was a eucharistic minister.

Jeanne enjoyed knitting, crocheting, plastic crafts, stained glass, leather tooling, weight training, and bingo.

She is survived by her husband, Lucien R. Vachon of Arnold; two daughters, Susan Kirby of Pasadena, Md., and Marianne Marley of Chester, Md.; one son, Vincent Vachon of Edgewater, Md.; one sister, (Dolly) Aurore Grondin of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; four brothers, Arthur Ouellette of Lewiston, Leo Ouellette of Garden Grove, Calif., George Ouellette of Inverness, Fla., and Norman Ouellette of Simi, Calif.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Wilfred Ouellete; and her sister, Cecile Montgomery.
