TURNER — Sadie Royer registered the game’s only score to help lift Leavitt to a 1-0 victory over Waterville in class B field hockey.

Royer’s tally came on a cross from Emma Martineau for the Hornets’  (8-1) lone score. Despite constant pressure from the Panthers (5-4), Leavitt’s Sierra Santamango kept them off the board stopping all ten shots she faced. Val Spaulding turned away 12 shots in the loss. Leavitt outshot Waterville 13-10 in the contest.

Girls’soccer

Oxford Hills 1, Waterville 1, 2 OT

SOUTH PARIS — Junior Crystal West headed a ball off the bounce on a cross from Mikayla Morin late in the second half to help Oxford Hills earn a tie with Waterville in girls’ soccer action.

After a scoreless first half, Waterville’s Sarah Shoulta scored 24 seconds into the half off an assist from Jayme Saulter giving the Panthers (4-2-2) a 1-0 lead. Vikings’ (3-4-2) goalie Samantha Bickford and Waterville’s Gabi Martin held each team scoreless in both overtimes to earn the tie. Bickford stopped 10 Waterville shots while Martin turned away five shots in the contest.

Greely 3, Gray-New Gloucester 0

GRAY — Greely got second half goals from Julie Mitigui and Molly Fitzpatrick to pull away for a 3-0 blanking of Gray New-Gloucester in girls soccer.

Mia Lambert got the Rangers (4-3) on the board with a first half goal assisted by Izzy Hutnick for a 1-0 halftime lead. Mitigui and Fitzpatrick put the game away with their unassisted goals. Patriot (2-5-1) keeper Sam Wilkins stopped six shots while Caton Beaulieu turned away a pair in the shut out.

Oak Hill 3, Winthrop 0

WINTHROP — Jamie Prue pushed across a pair of first half scores to lift Oak Hill to a 3-0 triumph over Winthrop in MVC girls’ soccer action.

Prue’s first score came at the 28:21 mark of the first half off an assist from Brooke Depuy. She scored less than ten minutes later for a 2-0 halftime lead for the Raiders (6-3). Kayla Jones registered an unassisted goal late in the second half to seal the victory. Oak Hill held the advantage in shots, 25-10.

Danielle Pease had 20 saves in net for the Ramblers (0-9-1). Kelsey Collins stopped all seven shots she faced in the win.

Dirigo 6, Carrabec 0

DIXFIELD — Senior Natalie Boduc scored four goals and assisted on another as Dirigo rolled to a 6-0 victory over Carrabec in MVC girls’ soccer.

Megan Bradbury set up Bolduc’s first goal at the 37:21 mark of the first half. Bradbury followed with a goal of her own with 2:37 remaining in the first half. Bolduc scored four minutes into the second half before assisting on Gabby Scott’s goal less than seven minutes later. Bolduc rounded out the scoring with her final two scores.

Carrabec’s Sarah Larlee stopped nine shots in net while Natasha Deroche turned away all seven shots she faced in the shutout.

BUCKFIELD —  Ryan Moulton and Devin Day each recorded a hat trick as Sacopee Valley defeated Buckfield, 7-0, in boys’ soccer action Monday.

Stephen Day added the seventh goal for Sacopee (1-5), which outshot Buckfield, 25-8. Calvin Downey made 15 saves in net for the Bucks (3-6).
