PORTLAND — Joshua Stewart McIntosh, 2 years old, went to Heaven in the arms of the angels, Sunday, Sept. 23, at Maine Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 4, 2010, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the son of Jessica McIntosh. Although Joshua’s time here was brief, he touched the hearts of many. Even though he had gone through so much, he could still bring a smile to his family and the people around him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, nurses and those who shared time and fist bumps with him.

He is survived by his mother, Jessica McIntosh and her companion, Evan Chagnon, and his brother, Brayden McIntosh, all of Livermore Falls; his grandfather, Stewart McIntosh and his companion, Heidi Barker, of Leeds; his grandmother, Darlene McIntosh, and great-grandmother, Evelyn Bird, both of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; great-grandfather, Robin McIntosh of Ottawa Ontario, Canada; and great-aunt, Heather McIntosh Yam and her husband, Frank Yam, of Manotick, Ontario, Canada.

He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Helen McIntosh.

His family would like to thank the staff at the BBCH for the loving care and support during Joshua’s time there.
