LEWISTON — A man charged with robbing a Lisbon variety store at knife point Thursday remained in the Androscoggin County Jail on Sunday.

Brooks Noddin, 21, listed as a transient, was arrested late Friday night after being pulled over on Lisbon Street by the Lewiston Police Department. Authorities in Lisbon issued a warrant for Noddin’s arrest after he was identified in surveillance footage at Miller’s Variety store on Route 196.

Noddin was charged at 11 p.m. Friday with a warrant out of Lisbon for the armed robbery, operating a vehicle after license suspended or revoked, and a probation hold. A dispatcher at the county jail said Noddin’s bail for the warrant is listed at $10,000 cash, but the probation hold means he will be held without bail until he appears in court.

According to police, Noddin stole cash and cigarettes from the store in Lisbon Falls, which is across from the Lisbon House of Pizza. Authorities reported that Noddin entered the store about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, displayed a knife and demanded money from the cash register.

Noddin fled the scene in a vehicle that was last seen headed east on Route 196 toward Topsham.
