PORTLAND — Grammy and CMA winner Suzy Bogguss will bring her acclaimed acoustic trio to One Longfellow Square on Saturday, Oct.27.

Besides her string of radio hits, Bogguss will perform songs from her critically celebrated CD, “American Folk Songbook.”

While ingenuity and integrity are hallmarks of a musical career that spans two decades, 13 studio albums and countless miles on the road, it is the spontaneous showmanship of her live performances that has brought Bogguss to the forefront.

Some of her accomplishments include 10 albums for Capitol Records, one of which has been certified platinum and three others, gold. Eight of her singles have cracked country music’s Top 5.

Bogguss received a Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album as a part of “Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster,” as well as several awards from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, CMT and ASCAP.

Her songs have been heard on television shows and in commercials. She has performed on many national television shows, including PBS’ “In Performance At The White House” and “A Capitol 4th,” “Austin City Limits” and “The View.”

Bogguss is a frequent guest on National Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.” In 2011, she released “American Folk Songbook,” a 17-song CD and hardcover book with stories and sheet music, available online and nationally at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores.

Tickets to the 8 p.m. concert are $35 advance/$40 at the door. Call 761-1757 or visit www.onelongfellowsquare.com. One Longfellow Square is at 181 State St.
