RUMFORD — A Rumford woman out on bail and awaiting arraignment on drug charges was arrested Sunday night on new drug charges, police Cpl. Lawrence Winson said Tuesday morning.

Dawn M. Miller, 37, of 818 Hillside Ave., was charged with felony possession of oxycodone, unlawful trafficking in marijuana and violating bail conditions. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miller was taken to Oxford County Jail in Paris, where she was released Monday on $1,000 cash bail.

Miller is to be arraigned on the new charges at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 6 in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.

Winson said officer Brad Gallant went to Miller’s home at 8:32 p.m. Sunday to serve her with an Oxford County grand jury indictment on drug charges, and called Winson for assistance. A roommate let the officers inside where they found Miller in her bedroom with a bag containing individual packages of marijuana, Winson said.

The trafficking charge was elevated to a felony because Miller lives within 1,000 feet of the Pennacook Learning Center at Virginia Elementary School.

Last month, Rumford police arrested Miller on charges of possession of a scheduled drug and violation of a bail condition.

During an ongoing investigation in April into the illegal sale of oxycodone in the area, Maine Drug Enforcement agents arrested Miller on charges of aggravated trafficking in cocaine and violating conditions of release.
