Chinese/ticket auction at Legion

LOCKE MILLS — A Chinese/Ticket Auction will be held at the Locke Mills Legion Hall on Saturday, Oct. 20. There will be more than 300 items. Doors open at 4 p.m. and auction starts at 6.

Make 15 Christmas cards while raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Unit at the Veterans’ Home. Participants will make three cards each of five different designs.

The class fee is $25 which includes all materials, beverages and snacks.

Boghooters hunters breakfast

MECHANIC FALLS — The Boghooters Snowmobile Club will hold their annual hunters breakfast from 5 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Boghooters Club house on the Austin Road-Pigeon Hill.

On the menu there will be buttermilk pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and beans. Cost is $5.

PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will be holding parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, Nov. 1, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. All teachers and/or teams will be having conferences at this time. Parents who do not call ahead for an appointment may still sign up for a time on Nov. 1 by stopping at the classroom and signing up for any open time on the appointment sheet posted outside teachers’ classrooms. Maps of the building and student schedules will be available in the Guidance Office.

Harrison Rec Halloween party

HARRISON — The Harrison Parks and Recreation and Youth Boosters will hold a Halloween party for Harrison children in grades pre-kindergarten through grade six at the fire station on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Participants will enjoy the sounds of DJ Mitchell music and more with light and smoke show, jumping around in the Dalmatian Bounce House, a variety of games and activities, costume parade, prizes, a guess jar and refreshment table.
