There are six candidates competing for Maine’s U.S. Senate seat left vacant because of Sen. Olympia Snowe’s impending retirement.

A recent forum held in Lewiston featured only three of those candidates. The others, Danny Dalton, Steve Woods and Andrew Ian Dodge, were not invited.

This leads me to ask: Why weren’t they invited? Are they being overlooked because of lack of name recognition and/or experience?

Shouldn’t all the candidates be given the opportunity to have their voices heard in a public forum?
