The current judge of probate, Joshua Klein-Golden, has also served as the register of probate. He has served Androscoggin County well for several years in both positions.
He is a very caring person and has commented that it has been a privilege serving as the judge of probate because he meets “everyday, heroes who get no accolades, who walk into my courtroom.” They come in when they step up to become guardians for children, elderly relatives. He has witnessed teachers becoming guardians for their former students.
He was the award winner for the number of pro bono family law cases accepted in a year. He is a board member of Androscoggin Head Start and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services. He recently agreed to assist the Maine Alzheimer’s Association.
I will be voting for Judge Joshua Klein-Golden on Nov. 6.
