I support Nichole Stevens for the Legislature in the New Gloucester area. She will stand up for workers’ rights and protect the rights of women.

It has come to my attention that Ellie Espling, who is a very nice person, has an agenda of promoting her religious ideas in the Legislature. She was quoted on a Christian radio station in 2011 saying that she would be sponsoring legislation that is anti-abortion. She has been quoted as feeling she has been directed by God to run for office and that she immediately became one of the biggest fundraisers in the Maine House.

Another interesting item she takes pride in is that the number of legislators praying on a regular basis has quadrupled recently. That is not why voters send people to the State House.

We do not give our institutions of law over to the right wing of the Republican party.
