Benefit supper for fire victims

FAYETTE — There will be a benefit supper for the Tim and Meredith Pepper family at the Fayette School from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

The Pepper home was damaged in a fire. The supper is being sponsored by the Fayette Fire Auxiliary. To contribute a dish or for more information, call Auxiliary President Elaine Wilcox at 685-3886.

Heritage society plans annual breakfast

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Heritage Society will host its annual hunters breakfast from 5:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Chesterville Town Hall, Dutch Gap Road.

For the price of $5, hunters and non-hunters alike may have their fill of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, home-fries, baked beans, fruit salad, doughnuts, coffee, juice and cider.

Proceeds will contribute to the renovations the society is making to its new headquarters, which house a collection of historical items and papers from Chesterville’s past.

D of I Circle chooses raffle winners

JAY — Daughters of Isabella Circle 677, St. Rose of Lima Church, held a social of Oct. 24. Chancellor Laurieanne Castonguay led the group in saying the blessing.

Maryette Castonguay led a game, then raffle tickets were drawn for the table centerpieces. Winners were Louise Buzzell, Geri Ross, Paula Bussiere, Marilyn Bourgoin, Karen Daniels, MaryAnne Allen and Amy Ouellette.

Plant raffle winners were Georgia Hersey, Corinne Rea and Mariette Castonguay . The door prize of a flower arrangement was won by Rita Castonguay after which the evening came to a close.
