LEWISTON — Cindy Lu Cole, 58, born Aug. 29, 1954, to Harold and Lillian (Tibbetts) Cole of Strong, died due to complications relating to a stroke on Oct. 26, at Marshwood Nursing Home.

She lived in Fayette with lifelong partner, Alton Brown. She had two wonderful daughters, Spring and husband, Nathaniel Dowse, of Vancouver, Wash., and Alicia and husband, Jaymes Arel, of New Brockton, Ala. She was a very proud grandparent of Kennedy Dowse and Mia Arel. She was a kind-hearted person who loved to meet people and enjoyed laughing.

Cindy enjoyed her time as a bus driver with Fayette Central School. She was talented at ceramics, sewing, enjoyed traveling, collecting wind chimes and loved animals.

She is survived by her siblings, Lloyd and his wife, Jean Cole, John and his wife, Janis Cole, Norman and his wife, Cathy Cole, Mary and her husband, Francis Orcutt, Jerry and his wife, Betty Cole, David and his wife, Claire Cole, and Harold Jr. and his wife, Karen Cole; along with many, many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

There will be a small private gathering of her family at a later date.
