Although I was disappointed to hear Stacy Dostie was unable to run for House District 75 this time around, I was very happy to hear Katherine Ver Sluis was stepping up in her place.

Ver Sluis has been a resident of Sabattus for more than 20 years and served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years, including Operation Desert Storm. She is a dedicated leader, volunteering with many organizations in the community.

She is running for the Maine House to be a voice for Maine’s families because she understands that there needs to be a better future for the next generation; a future that includes good-paying jobs and preserving the quality of life.

Legislators are needed who will work together in the best interest of the communities and Maine as a whole, and I believe Katherine Ver Sluis will serve well in Augusta representing House District 75.
