FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network President Rebecca Ryder announces the appointment of Jennifer McCormack, RN, BSN, MBA, as the director of Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County. She was interim director since June.

McCormack is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nonprofit agency’s operations, including program planning, grant development, personnel management, financial stewardship, policy advocacy and community collaboration and partnerships.

McCormack has worked at Franklin Community Health Network for 15 years. She began at Franklin Memorial Hospital as the patient support coordinator before transitioning to the role of cancer prevention coordinator for the HCC in 2002. In 2010, McCormack began overseeing all clinical outreach services at HCC as the community health clinical administrator.

McCormack received her master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College. She is a licensed registered nurse.

In 2010, McCormack, who is a resident of Carrabassett Valley, was one of three recipients to receive the Maine Breast Health Leadership Award. She was recognized for her leadership in advocating for the breast care needs of Maine women — designing and implementing outreach activities to reach women in need of services, and using the HCC’s mobile health unit to provide free health services, including breast and cervical screenings.
