MIDDLEVILLE, N.Y. — The wedding of Jovonna Marie Failing and Cornelis Addriane Kretser was held at 5 p.m. on Sept. 1 at Crystal Chandelier in Middleville, N.Y. The Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarica, rector, who baptized the bride and officiated at the wedding of her parents 25 years ago, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Kretser is the daughter of Todd and Robin (Burns) Failing of Fort Plain, N.Y., and the granddaughter of James and Joan Sampson of Danville. Mr. Kretser is the son of Jason and Cornelia Kretser of Palatine Bridge, N.Y.

The bride carried a bouquet of Calla lilies. Jessica Coons of Ilion, N.Y., friend, served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Melissa Lindsay of Cortland Manor, N.Y., friend, Sabrina Turcotte of Maine, cousin, Jenifer Colon of Amsterdam, N.Y., friend, and Alyssa Smith of Johnstown, N.Y., friend. Hannah Sampson of Auburn, cousin, was flower girl.

Donald Kretser of Canjoharie, N.Y., was best man for his brother. Ushers were Marcus Failing of Fort Plain, N.Y., brother of the bride, Michael Robbins of Palatine Bridge, N.Y., friend, Daylen Lathers of Johnstown, N.Y., friend, and Joshua Darrow of Johnstown, N.Y., friend. Landon Kretser of Palatine Bridge, N.Y., nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Crystal Chandelier in Middleville, N.Y., after which the couple traveled to Cancun, Mexico. They are residing in Johnstown, N.Y.
