LEWISTON — The Just Us ensemble is big on performing music with lyrics people can remember and sing.
And that’s exactly what the singers will present on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, at the Franco American Heritage Center. Their Christmas program of traditional songs includes such favorites as Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song,” “All I Want for Christmas is You,” Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” “Ava Maria” and “Silent Night.”
The goal is to deliver a show that grandparents, parents and children can all enjoy, said ensemble director Nel Meservier, who plays keyboard.
Just Us is an eclectic group of families and friends who have been performing for generations. The 16 to 22 individuals, ranging in age from preteen to 76, learn songs by ear with no sheet music.
Concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 2.
