Former Bates College baseball head coach and professional baseball player Edwin Thompson will be holding a baseball clinic on Dec. 16 at Spruce Mountain High School’s south campus (formerly Livermore Falls High School). The clinics are for players ages 7-13 and will have two sessions, with the first session from 9 a.m. to noon and the second session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $35 for one session or $45 for both. Space is limited, with only 30-40 spots available for each session. Instruction will include proper techniques of hitting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, base running and team defense, with situational competitions. Thompson, who is currently head coach at Georgia State University, will be joined by other college and high school coaches. For more information, contact Thompson at [email protected]
