AUBURN — Comedians Ian Stuart and John Tole will kick off the new year with their “Day Drinking Americans Comedy Tour” throughout Canada and New England, which includes a stop at Club Texas.

Tole, recognized for his work with “The Howard Stern Show,” is a hard-charging comic with a focus on a wide variety of divisive topics. Stuart is known for his firecracker-like delivery and on-stage charm.

The two will bring their no-holds barred comedy show to Club Texas on Sunday, Jan. 6. They will also perform Saturday, Jan. 5, at Empire Dine and Dance in Portland.

Stuart ventured into the world of stand-up comedy at age 18 and has performed all over the Northeast. He has been featured and interviewed for CTN Channel 5’s “That’s Just It! With Connor and Kurt” and Dispatch Magazine; and was featured in the Indie Comedy “The Putt Putt Syndrome,” produced by Jason London.

At age 26, Stuart recently recorded his first full-length, stand-up comedy album, “Day Drinker,” while headlining at Levity Comedy Club in Burlington, Vermont.

Tole is an international touring comic and tattooed metalhead. Raised on a steady diet of 1980s punk and thrash, he rails against the hypocrisy of state control and attacks the concept of political correctness.

He is a stand-out in the “Sold Out Ronnie Mund Block Party Tour” (“Howard Stern Show”) and appears on the “Behind The Scenes” show on Howard TV. He  has written and contributed to “The Miserable Men” radio show and can be heard on Howard 100, Howard 101 and Sirius Raw Dog Channel 104, as well as his own weekly podcast, “John Tole’s America.”

Tole has toured and worked with many nationally renowned comedians and  recently signed with Stand Up Records, with his album, “Reign In Laughs” due to be released in early 2013.

The 21+ show will be at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8/2 for $15 (log on to clubtexas.info). Club Texas is at 150 Center St. For more information, call the club at 784-7785.
