SANFORD — A man wanted for robbing a credit union in York County last week surrendered to police Monday.

Justin Brady, 23, of Manchester, N.H., who is accused of holding up the York County Credit Union in Sanford on Jan. 3, turned himself in at the Sanford Police Station, according to Sanford Deputy Chief Tim Strout.

Brady is accused of walking into the bank, demanding cash and telling a teller he had a weapon. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, while no weapon was shown.

Brady was charged with robbery and transported to the York County Jail, where he is being held on $25,000 bail, Strout said.

Police continue to investigate the robbery.
