WELD — Mount Blue State Park will host its annual “Take It Outside!” Winter Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.

For $1.50, people ages 12 to 64 can spend a winter’s day at the park cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sliding, hay riding and taking nature interpretive walks. For everyone else, it’s free, according to the Maine Division of Parks and Public Lands website.

There will also be bonfires and hot food.

The park has everything participants need “to have fun outside in Maine’s winter wonderland,” the event notice said.

“Have no equipment? Don’t know how to use it? Don’t worry, We have all of that, including expert instruction!” the notice said.

Participants are urged to wear warm clothing and have fun.
