FARMINGTON — Inez M. Hill, 87, of Chesterville, passed away Jan. 10, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Chesterville, the daughter of Clarence R. and Ruth V. (Bachelder) Goings. Inez was a graduate of Farmington High School and went on to work for many manufacturing mills locally, and around the country, for many years.
In the late 1960s, she met Walter Hill, and they were married in Farmington Falls in 1969, and settled down to become a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. Inez was a selfless person, always giving, and never complaining. She will be sorely missed by those close to her.
Inez is survived by her spouse, Walter of 43 years; daughter, Cheryl Hill of Northport; son, Charles Hill Jr.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three nieces, Penny Littlefield of New Sharon, Wendy Atwood of Farmington Falls and Lori Egnor of Big Cabin, Okla.; and a sister-in-law, Vivian Smith of California.
She was predeceased by sister, Gloria Moore; and a brother, Richard Goings.
