MESA, Ariz. — Ruth Chamberlain Abbott, 81, of San Tan Valley, Ariz., formerly of Otisfield, died Dec. 12, in Mesa, Ariz.

She was born in Hartford, Dec. 14, 1930, the daughter of Donald Eugene Chamberlain and Ruth Gertrude Bryant. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and preserving food, crafting, painting, fishing and camping.

She is survived by husband, Richard Abbott; two sons; two daughters; two stepdaughters; one brother; two sisters; and a legacy of 85 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers, Merrill and Donald Chamberlain; sister, Marguerite Varney; and grandchildren, Crystal and Jeremy Rose.

Ruth was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held in West Paris in the spring of this year.
