1940 – 2013

POLAND —Roger A. Labbe, 72, a resident of Orange City, Fla. and Poland, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Jan. 17, following health complications.

He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 27, 1940, the son of Laurien H. and Alderie (Poirier) Labbe.

Roger grew up in Lewiston and attended local schools. He then served his country in the United States Army for several years. He had also served as a deputy sheriff for Androscoggin County. He later became a longtime commercial truck driver, retiring in 2009.

He loved hockey and spending time with his family and friends. Roger also enjoyed long conversations with his close friend, Roger Kirouac.

Survivors include two sons, John Labbe of Auburn and Richard Labbe of Lewiston; one daughter, Lori Labbe and her companion, Jesse Childs, of Poland. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Andrew, Jami, Megan, Christopher, and Kimberly.
