WILTON — On Thursday, Jan. 24, Western Maine Community Action Health Services and the Family Planning Association of Maine are jointly hosting a series of conversations about changes in Maine’s family planning system.
In response to a changing healthcare environment, the FPA has made strategic decisions regarding family planning services here in Maine. On Feb. 1, the FPA will assume the direct provision of family planning services in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties.
Conversations will be hosted in all four communities currently served by WMCA Health Services.
In South Paris, the discussion will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 44 Western Ave.
Rumford Public Library, 56 Rumford Ave., will be the site of the 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. discussion.
From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. the event will be held at UMF Education Center, Room 323, corner of Lincoln and High streets, Farmington.
The final session will take place at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St., from 3 to 4 p.m.
Each session will consist of a short presentation followed by an informal conversation where the audience will have a chance to ask questions.
