Lucille R. Biron

1918 – 2013

AUBURN — Lucille Biron, 94, formerly of 20 Great Falls Plaza and a resident of Clover Manor for the past four years, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, after a short illness. A life-long resident of Lewiston-Auburn, she was born in Lewiston on October 5, 1918, the daughter of Onil & Lucie Brochu Rivard.

Upon her mother’s death, she was raised by her grandparents, Joseph and Odele Berube. Lucille married George Preo and they had three children; her two daughters, Doris “Dodie” Chretien Walsh and Diane Preo Landry, and a son, Robert Preo. Lucille later married Conrad Boulet and they had 18 wonderful years.

Shortly after his death, she married Paul Biron, and together they shared many happy years. Educated locally, Lucille worked at Knapp Shoe and other mills throughout her life. She loved music and singing and she loved Holy Cross Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris “Dodie” Chretien Walsh of Brookfield, Wis., her son, Robert Preo, of Auburn, her amazing sister, Lucienne “Lou” Roux of Lewiston, her sister-in-law, Delores Preo of Auburn, cousins, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-great grandchildren and a close friend, Faye Brickel.

She was predeceased by her husbands, George Preo, Conrad Boulet and Paul Biron, her sister, Alice Nicholas, her beloved daughter, Diane Landry and her son-in-laws, Bob Landry and Paul Gerry Chretien.
