NEWRY — Ski Museum of Maine will meet at Sunday River on Monday, Jan. 28, for a day of skiing and ski history. A cinnamon bun and coffee social will take place at 10 a.m. in Peak Lodge. Meet some of Sunday River’s team members and the local 50-plus ski club, the Primetime Ski Club.

The Go50 Welcome Social will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Barker Bar. Meet the Primetime Ski Club. Members can give the best advice on where to ski; most of these folks ski 75 to 100 times a year. There will be free hors d’oeuvres and live music from Dave Mello.

At 4:30 p.m. in Barker Bar “Ski Competition in Maine, A Pictorial History” will be the topic of a Fireside Chat narrated slide show by Scott Andrews, Ski Museum of Maine’s research director. Also the museum will be bringing some of its artifacts and a historical display.

The event is open to all with no admission charge.
