AUBURN — Mechanics Savings Bank, a Maine-based mutual savings bank founded in 1875, has announced it will expand into the midcoast region with the hiring of a new commercial lending and private banking team.
According to the bank, plans are in the works to open a Business and Private Banking Center at Brunswick Station, 16 Station Ave., during the first quarter of the year.
The new center will serve businesses and professionals of the midcoast region and will be modeled after the successful establishment of the Business and Private Banking Center at its Auburn headquarters five years ago.
