JAY — A Mass of Christian Burial for Gary D. Bryant, 67, of Jay, was held Thursday at the St. Rose of Lima Church with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant. Those serving as pallbearers were Jay St. John, Geoff Nappi, Chris Towers, Larry Thornton, Dennis Gosselin and Andrew Faust. Family friend, Julie Thornton did the readings and Gary’s wife, Marlene and daughters, Maureen and Jennifer brought the gifts forward. Hymns for Mass sang by the Resurrection Choir were, “How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place,” “Lead Me Lord,” “Shelter Me O’ God,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “We Have Been Told,” “Saints of God” and “Where My Father Lives.” Following Mass the family hosted a time of fellowship and refreshment at Gary’s home in Jay. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
