MARLTON, N.J. — Arnold B. Earle, died on Feb. 3.

He was born May 19, 1923, in Lisbon Falls, to Charles Henry and Hattie (Galler0 Earle.

Arnold Earle formerly lived in Livingston, N.J., for 38 years, moving to Marlton in 1999. Graduating from Lisbon Falls High School in 1941, he attended the University of Maine at Orono until enlistment in the military in December 1942. He served in the Infantry of the 3rd Army in France, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and later the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground combat.

Graduating from the University of Maine in 1948, with a degree in electrical engineering, he worked for N.J. Bell in various assignments including AT&T and the Bell System for Technical Education in Lisle, Ill., (1969 to 1972).

Returning to NJ Bell in 1972, he was appointed division manager, a post he held until retirement in 1985. He was a member of the NJ Professional Engineering and Professional Planning Organizations, Livingston Methodist Church, Masonic Lodges: Hope 124, Genesis 88 and Medford 178, Livingston Historical Society, Marlton Seniors and Moorestown AARP 2143.

He is the beloved husband of Marcella (nee Vaughn); loving father of Susan Svoboda (Michael), Sandra Furst (Steven), and the late Jeffrey Earle, DMD; devoted grandfather of Edward Furst (Jessica), Anna Furst and Timothy Svoboda; dear brother of Beverly Stevens (Albert).
