Trail Blazers meeting, blessing

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold the monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall.

There will be a nomination of officers at the first meeting and election of officers at the second in February. All are welcome.

The group will also hold the blessing of the sleds and swap meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mountain Valley Middle School, just off ITS-82.

Eagles plan Mardi Gras

RUMFORD — The Rumford Falls Fraternal Order of Eagles #1248 Ladies Auxiliary will host a Mardi Gras from 8 p.m to midnight Friday, Feb. 8.

The band Backlash will provide entertainment. The cost is $5.

Some masks will be available for sale on a first-come first-serve basis. Beads and King Cake cupcakes will also be available.

All proceeds will benefit the Rumford Community Home Alzheimer’s unit.

Feb. 10, Hope Association Snowmobile Ride in on Swain Road, free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Feb. 15, Public presentation from the Disability Rights Center, noon, at Hope Association, SUFU (Speaking Up For Us).

Feb. 21, River Valley Rotary Social, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Brian’s Bistro. All welcome.

Feb. 27, Autism Public Presentation at 2:30 p.m. at Hope Association.
