LIMERICK — Timothy “Sullivan” Bushey, age four months, passed away at his home in Limerick, Feb. 2, after a courageous battle with spinal muscular atrophy.

Sullivan was born in Portland at Mercy-Fore River, Sept. 26, 2012, the son of Timothy V. Bushey and Brittany L. (Bundy) Madore and remained under the loving and dedicated care of his parents at home throughout his short life.

Sullivan spent much of his time playing with his loving sister, Goldie. His eyes lit up with excitement when he heard her voice or saw her face. Together they played with balloons, splashed in the tub and played with his mobile and stuffies. He absolutely loved “sister kisses.” His protective sister always made sure he was happy and his needs were met first.

Sullivan also enjoyed reading time with Daddy; he listened intently to Daddy’s voice while holding his hand. Sometimes he would take his turn reading and “talk” over his Dad during reading time. Sullivan enjoyed alone time with his Mommy when they would cuddle, talk and play throughout the days. Sullivan loved his daily bath time, especially with the orange sponge his sister gave him. He loved when Mommy gave him foot massages while watching Baby Beethoven, Elmo and Finding Nemo.

He was a curious little boy and would search the room with his eyes, looking for wonderful sights such as the roaring fire, Christmas lights, the ceiling fan, or a picture of his sister. Sullivan had many visitors and always enjoyed spending time with friends and relatives, including his numerous grandparents. He also loved rides in the car and his trips to Lodge, his sister’s Christmas concert and the neighbor’s house. Sullivan will be remembered for his beautiful dark blue eyes and his radiant smile.

Besides his parents, Sullivan is survived by his sister, Goldie Lynn Madore; paternal grandparents, Grammy Sue and Grampa Lester Ordway and Ken Bushey and Ellen Crosby; maternal grandparents, “Nana” Karen Bundy and “Pappy” Richard Drew; paternal great-grandmother, Beatrice Bushey; maternal great-grandparents, Grammy “Po” Pauline Drew and Grammy Goldie Bundy; his Auntie Chelsea Talley; cousin, Darian Talley; and many beloved family friends and caregivers.
