1942 – 2013

LEWISTON — Richard “Dick” Dagneau, 71, of 23 Spofford St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 7, 1942, the son of Robert and Yvette Jolin Dagneau. Educated in local schools, he married the former Yvette J. St. Onge on Sept. 3, 1971. Mrs. Dagneau passed away on Dec. 14, 2008.

Prior to his retirement, Dick worked at Seltzer & Rydholm for many years. A member of Saints Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, Dick enjoyed reading, puzzles, going for his daily walk, traveling and, in his younger years, camping with his family.

Survivors include a son, David and wife, Diane, of Poland; six grandchildren, Megan, Jeremy and Brandon Dagneau, and Jacob, Andrew and Hunter Ustach; and a great-grandchild on the way.

Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Donald; a brother, Lucien; and a sister, Rachel Wilson.

The family would like to thank the nurses and Dr. Richard Kahn at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for all the loving care they gave Dick during his hospital stay. Donations, condolences and a video tribute may be accessed online at www.albert-burpee.com.
