1966 – 2013

GREENVILLE — Raymond P. Roy, 46, a resident of Globe Street, Livermore Falls, died unexpectedly while on a fishing trip, March 9, at Charles Dean Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1966, in Lewiston, the son of Raoul and Fleur D’Ange (Veilleux) Roy.

He was a 1984 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. He worked at Carlton Woolen Mill in Winthrop, International Paper in the wood yard, as a crane operator at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay and also as a crane operator at Farmington Chipping in Farmington.

On Aug. 4, 2007, at Brown’s Point on Echo Lake in Fayette, he married his 10-year companion, Sarah Jamison. He served as a Cub Scout leader for Pack No. 599 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking with their dogs. On holidays he loved to celebrate and would set up the tiki bar at their home and invite their neighbors, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Roy; stepchildren, Morgan and Dylan Guay of Livermore Falls; brothers, Roger Roy and companion, Daphne Scribner, of Eustis; and Roland Roy and his wife, Lottie, of Jay; and sisters, Doris Stanley and companion, Ray Veilleux, of Eustis and Florida, and Suzanne Smith and her husband, Ken, of Fayette.

He was predeceased by his parents; brothers-in-law, Gordon Stanley and Doug Williams; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Roy.
