BENTON (AP) — State police say a Thorndike woman injured in a traffic accident in Benton during the snowstorm last week has died.

Police say 65-year-old Jeannine Ann died at a Portland hospital late last week.

Ann was driving her SUV eastbound on snow-covered roads just after noon on March 19 when her vehicle began to slide into the oncoming lane and was struck by a tractor-trailer hauling road salt.

Police told the Morning Sentinel the accident was due to road conditions during the storm and no charges are expected.

The driver of the truck, 32-year-old Michael Hogan of Bangor, told police he did not have time to stop. He was not injured.
