WMTW-TV is reporting that Daniel Dougherty, 46, has been missing since Friday.
According to the report, Lewiston police said Doughty, of Knox Street, seemed depressed when he spoke to a friend at 11 p.m. Friday. His wallet and identification were located in the car, and a jacket was found nearby in the woods.
A plane from the Maine Warden Service joined police in searching for Doughty near the Androscoggin River.
