LEWISTON  — Joshua Shea has been chosen keynote speaker for the Lewiston High School Class of 2013 graduation, School Committee student representative Marina Affo reported to the board April 8. She said he is an “up and coming” citizen.

Shea is editor of Lewiston Auburn Magazine, heads the Lewiston Auburn Film Festival and is an Auburn city councilor. Lewiston high seniors choose their graduation speaker.

Fellow student representative Paige Clabby also reported that Auburn Mayor Jonathan LaBonte recently spoke to classes about how the two cities are working together. Clabby said she wished all students could have heard his talk.

This year’s graduation is May 31, “the earliest date we have had,” Principal Gus LeBlanc said. Snow days have no affect when graduation is held.
