TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education will offer a wide selection of classes for the 2013 winter/spring session, including the following classes beginning April 22.

Appreciation & Gratitude: Learn how to build stronger relationships in the one-night course. It’s simple, fun, easy and from your own computer. Show appreciation to those you know and care about and grow your business.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga Session 2: A breath-powered movement class that incorporates elements of tai chi, dance yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Experience increased flexibility, clarity of mind and restorative relaxation. Modifications for those with physical limitations.

Substitute Training: This course is one step in the substitute teacher application for the district. Learn about school expectations, teacher’s lesson plans and assertive discipline. A high school diploma is required, college degree preferred.

Stay Fit While You Sit: Find out how to prevent or reduce back and neck problems, carpal tunnel syndrome and more while you sit. Prevent injuries by sitting properly and learn how to avoid repetitive motion injuries in this one-night class.

Beginner Fly Casting: Learn the ins and outs of fly casting and the difference in rods during this Saturday morning class. Practice your casting into various targets. Be sure to wear a hat with a visor and eye protection such as glasses/sunglasses.

Family Yoga Fun Camp: Another Saturday morning class that is great for parents and children ages 5 and up. Yoga time includes games, poses and songs. Make and enjoy a delicious healthy treat during snack time. Create a mindful craft and special memories.

How Money Works: Begins May 2. Learn how to avoid the most common mistakes people make with money and receive a guide to building financial wellness.

Golf classes begin April 29 and 30. Join the beginner class for a fun introduction covering the basic fundamentals and course etiquette. Sign up for the intermediate session and learn about the swing and mechanics of the long and short game. Bring your clubs.

Beyond the Point and Shoot Camera begins May 6. Learn the basics and advanced controls of a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera. Aperture priority, shutter priority and manual mode, white balance, histogram and more. Lenses and different shooting situations will be discussed.
