FRYEBURG — World-travelling entertainer Brent McCoy will bring his award-winning performance to the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

McCoy’s all-ages stunt comedy show features a toolbox full of props, hilarious audience interaction, and breathtaking circus feats.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in northeastern Vermont, McCoy is no stranger to hard work. He began juggling in high school and spent thousands of hours practicing during his studies at Bates College. Upon graduating, he ventured into the world with a degree in fine arts and 437 really cool circus tricks, the latter of which have kept him entertained and employed ever since.

McCoy has become an exceptionally versatile entertainer, equally comfortable doing shows on the street and on the stage. Since 2005, he’s attended numerous festivals, theaters and special events around the world. When he’s not touring to theaters and festivals, he’s street performing at Boston’s historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace, teaching physical comedy workshops with YES! Theater, and producing variety shows with Vermont Vaudeville.

People often remark on McCoy’s ability to relate to everyone in the audience, and they marvel at his combination of technical circus ability. He was the top-selling act at IndyFringe 2009, the People’s Choice at 2009 Vermont Festival of Fools, a grand finalist at the 2011 Kingston Buskers Rendezvous, and a nominee for Audience Choice best clown in the 2007 New York Downtown Clown series.
