MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Dick’s Restaurant. Classmates and guests welcomed.
Chicken pie supper April 20
RUMFORD — A chicken pie supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St.
The meal includes mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, cole slaw, cranberry sauce, coffee, tea and dessert.
Cost is $9 for adults; $4 for children under 12.
Texas Hold’em Tournament
RUMFORD — A Texas Hold’em Tournament will be held Saturday, April 20, at American Legion Post 24, Congress Street.
Doors open at 9 a.m. and games start at 10. Buy in is $50.

5K to honor Nate Gallant
RUMFORD — Rite Aid Rumford will sponsor a 5K fun run and walk at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5, at Hosmer Field.
Early registration is $15 and includes a T-shirt. Deadline is April 24. Forms can be picked up at Rite Aid, 7 Portland St.
Registration after that date is $20 with no T-shirt and can be done the day of the event starting at 9 a.m.
The run/walk is dedicated in honor of Nate Gallant who began his treatment for childhood leukemia at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. All proceeds will benefit the hospital.

Stephens High Class of 1963
MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1963 classmates, family and friends are invited to lunch at noon Friday, April 26, at the Mexico Chicken Coop.
Attendees are asked to bring mementos and photos of their school years. For more information call 364-8416.
Scentsy event to benefit Relay
MEXICO — Friends and Family Forever will hold a Scentsy open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Town Hall.
Proceeds will benefit River Valley Relay for Life.

MEXICO — Mexico High School Class of 1949 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Dick’s Restaurant.
Members and friends are welcome.
Lyme Disease Conference
MEXICO — The second annual Lyme Disease Awareness Conference will be held on Saturday, May 4. at the Mountain Valley Middle School, 58 Highland Terrace. A $5 donation at the door is appreciated but not mandatory. Registration begins at 9:30 with opening remarks at 10 and closing at 2.
Presenters include Thaiadora Katsos-Dorow, author of “What’s the Big Deal About Lyme?”; and Elaine Katz, adjunct instructor at UMA and KVCC, “The Biology of Lyme Disease.”
There will be a choice between Amy Gillis’ and Charly Weir’s “Laughter, Lyme & Yoga” workshop or Cindy Touchette’s “Getting Started/Staying Organized” for those not quite ready to laugh about Lyme.
An informal Lyme legislation update will follow immediately after closing for anyone interested.
