FARMINGTON — A Farmington man faces charges after police say he took a vehicle from McDonald’s parking lot early Sunday morning and drove it home while under the influence.

Scott L. Webber II, 30, was arrested at his home less than two hours after police received a report at 1:35 a.m. Sunday that a 1990 Ford Honda Accord was taken from the parking lot, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police Department secretary, read from the police report.

Webber was charged with driving under the influence, driving after suspension and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

After a review of security cameras, police located the car and Webber at his home. Apparently he knew the owner of the vehicle, Pomeroy said.

Farmington officer William Tanner arrested Webber. He was released from the Franklin County Detention Center on $500 cash bail Sunday.
