FARMINGTON — WG Mallett PTA will host an on-site as well as an online Scholastic Book Fair. Funds raised will benefit the PTA and be used in many ways to promote learning and enhance the school experience for students at Mallett.
The online fair will be open from Monday, April 22, until Friday, May 3, at bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/mallett
The on-site fair will be open from 12:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at WG Mallett School, 116 Middle St.
Families, faculty and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers.
The Book Fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, bestsellers and other great reads from more than 100 publishers.
Book Fair customers may help the school build classroom libraries by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List program.
In addition, the fair will feature the All for Books program, where kids can share the thrill of reading by donating loose change to purchase books for the school. Scholastic matches monetary donations with a donation of up to one million books, which go to national nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping families in need, such as the Kids in Distressed Situations and Kids In Need Foundation.
