The band, under the direction of Marlene Hall, is a sub-group of Bay Winds North Wind Ensemble, based in Rockland. The talented musicians come from mid-coast Maine and include Boothbay Harbor resident and saxophone player Jim Stormont. The band is comprised of high school students, community members and professional musicians.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance, and $15 on the day of the performance. The box office at the Opera House is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday at 86 Townsend Avenue or  call 207-633-5159. Tickets are also available online at boothbayoperahouse.com. Doors for seating open at 7 p.m.

Other performances on the May schedule include Maine musicians Denny Breau and Paul Mellyn performing Delta Blues, folk, rock and country on May 11; renowned Scottish musician Dougie MacLean on May 16; the steel pan fusion sound of the Jonathan Scales Fourchestra on May 22; and the annual spring concert of the Portland String Quartet on May 23.
