BAILEY ISLANDe (AP) — The state medical examiner has ruled that the man found dead last week on Bailey Island drowned.
The body of 28-year-old Ryan Johnson of Harpswell was found on the shore by a fisherman last Thursday morning.
Capt. Craig Smith of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said there were no signs of trauma to the body and no sign of foul play.
Officials said Johnson was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday by his mother, with whom he lived.
Police told The Times Record that they are trying to piece together what happened between when Johnson was last seen and when his body was found.
