LEWISTON — Kevin Lewis, CEO of Maine Community Health Options, recently announced that Barbara Lovejoy has joined the organization as manager, human resources and education.

Prior to joining MCHO, Lovejoy worked as human resource manager at Support Solutions. Currently, she serves as president of the Central Maine Human Resource Association and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Lovejoy received her bachelor of science degree in leadership organizational studies from the University of Southern Maine. She plans to pursue her senior professional in human resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute in the fall. Lovejoy lives in Turner with her husband, two sons, and their dog.

MCHO is a nonprofit organization that will provide health insurance to Maine people and small businesses beginning in January 2014. The enrollment start date for the plan is Oct. 1, 2013.
