PARIS — A ticket auction will be held Saturday to raise funds for Carly Sauro of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School to compete at Skills USA in Missouri in June.

The award-winning artist from Paris will represent Maine in the National SkillsUSA Advertising Design Competition in June.

The ticket auction store at the school will open at 11 a.m. April 27, with calling beginning at 1 p.m. Residents can see the variety of times now online by going to http://www.sad17.k12.me.us/ and following the links.

The auction includes more than 100 items, including handmade afghans, jewelry, donations from local businesses, including a round of golf and cart for two from the Norway Country Club, three Kawasaki shirts from Jem Motor Sports, a free class from SAD 17 adult education and gift certificates from Bolster’s Decorating, In the Zone and Babbling Brook Quilt Shop. Additionally, the Oxford Hills Technical School carpentry class has made a 4- by 2-foot doll house. Other trades in the school are donating oil changes and car detailing.

Monetary donations are also being accepted by checks made out to OHTS Skills Maine and sent to the Oxford Hills Technical School, care of Skills Maine, P.O. Box 313, Norway, ME 04268. Please add in the memo section of the check “for Carly Sauro.”
