WILTON — Wilton Fish and Game Association member Bruce Dyke, a lifelong resident of Wilton, has brought the ice out contest on Wilson Lake back to life after several years of being nonexistent. Lew Yeaton of Wilton has won this year’s contest with the ice out date of April 20, at 9:09 a.m.

Dyke presented Yeaton with a crisp $100 bill. Apparently Yeaton has to share this with his grandson because he played his grandson’s birthday and promised to split the winnings with him.

Funds from the contest will be used to help in the upgrade of the clubhouse.

The trap shooting site is ready and shooting has begun, weather permitting. Targets are supplied for a minimal fee; bring your own hearing protection and ammo. For information call Charlie at 462-6792.

The Wilton Fish & Game Association holds meetings on the third Sunday of each month at the clubhouse on Route 2. Members are busy making plans for upcoming programs over the summer and fall seasons. Anyone interested in joining the club should call Phil at 897-3027 or Jeff at 670-6978.
