PORTLAND — Florence E. “Flo” Lagasse, 78, of Groveland, Mass., and formerly of Beverly, Mass., and Auburn, passed away Sunday, May 5, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, July 13, 1934, daughter of the late Wilfred and Rose Eva (Jutras) Lagasse.

Flo was employed at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., was a nursing instructor at Beverly Hospital from 1964 to 1990 and in 1991 was the discharge planner at J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody, Mass.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, including, Jo-Anne P. Bolduc of Biddeford, Diane F. Bernard of Auburn, Richard Hamel of Boston and Robert Wailus of Lewiston.

Flo was the dear friend of the late Jane Bartlett, who died Oct. 22, 2012; and was also predeceased by her seven siblings.
