FARMINGDALE — Using a three-run rally in the fourth frame, Oak Hill bounced back from a one-run deficit to post a 3-2 victory over Hall-Dale in KVAC softball action Wednesday.

Kayla Veilleux and Brianna Hodgkins led the Raiders (6-2) with two hits and one RBI apiece. Kortni Michaud earned the mound win and helped her own cause with an RBI double in the fourth.

Edward Little 7, Mt. Ararat 3

TOPSHAM — Molly Murray scattered six hits and drew ample run support as Edward Little rolled to a 7-3 victory over Mt. Ararat in KVAC softball action Wednesday.

Brooke Reynolds led the Red Eddies (5-4) with a grand slam in the fifth inning. Danny Rock also belted a two-run homer in the fourth. Kim Leslie suffered the loss for Mt. Ararat (4-5) after working the entire game.

Fryeburg 8, Gray-New Gloucester 3

FRYEBURG — Sarah Harriman and Kylie Locke had RBI singles to spark a six-run third inning to lead Fryeburg past Gray-New Gloucester on Wednesday.

The Raiders sent 10 players to the plate and collected five hits. Fryeburg added two insurance runs in the fourth as the result of three walks by relief pitcher Steph Greaton.

The Patriots got on the scoreboard in the fifth as the result of two walks, two errors, a sacrifice bunt by Lindsay Nunley and a hit by Alex Thompson. Gray-New Gloucester added a run in the seventh as Abby Ordway walked and scored on a RBI-single by Thompson. Harriman allowed four hits, walked four batters and struck out eight.

Oxford Hills 22, Brunswick 1

PARIS — Crystal West hurled five innings of one-hit softball and drew all kinds of run support as Oxford Hills easily outgunned Brunswick 22-1 in a MVC softball tilt.

Abby Bernier led the Vikings (8-1) with four hits and four RBIs, while Bryanne Starbird belted out three hits. Anna Winslow smashed a home run in the third frame in a well-balanced attack.

Madison 5, Spruce Mountain 1

JAY — Winning pitcher Emily McKenney struck out eight batters and had three hits as Madison thumped Spruce Mountain, 5-1, in a softball game Thursday.

The Bulldogs used four singles and a Spruce Mountain (5-3) error to score three runs in the fifth inning.

Mountain Valley 17, Carrabec 2

NORTH ANSON — Winning pitcher Lindsay Marston had five strikeouts and punched in a two-run double in the fourth inning as Mountain Valley sideswiped Carrabec, 17-2, in a softball game Wednesday.

The Falcons (4-3) erupted with seven runs in the fourth inning after building a 10-2 lead.

Mountain Valley’s Adelle Oswald had three hits, drove in three runs and doubled. Brooke Dolloff also doubled.

For the Cobras (2-6), Libby Chestnut had two singles.

Dirigo 4, Mt. Abram 2

SALEM — Natasha DeRoche had three hits and two RBIs as Dirigo snagged a win 4-2 against Mt. Abram in softball Wednesday. Cami Denny held the mound respectfully for Dirigo, throwing eight strikeouts and giving up one earned run.

DeRoche had a triple for Dirigo (7-1), while getting support on the mound from Lauren Henderson. Taylor Henderson snagged two hits, while Jill Howard had both RBIs for Mt. Abram (3-5).

Lisbon 16, Boothbay 0

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Taylor Plourde smashed four hits and brought four runners home as Lisbon stumped Boothbay 16-0 in five innings Wednesday.

Kailyn Hill threw five shutout innings with with Ks along with having more than enough run support from the Greyhounds. Bailey Madore and Chantal Bisson sliced three hits, while Olivia Harrington snagged four stolen bases on the night.

Erskine 9, Lewiston 0

LEWISTON — Alyssa Gartley gave up just three hits while making five Lewiston hitters whiff as Erskine overwhelmed Lewiston at home, 9-0, in a softball game Wednesday.

Roberston smashed a two-run home run to supply the Eagles (5-5) with more than enough run support. Alison. Gauvin and Kaitlyn Sutter both had two hits and scored twice while raking in a combined three RBIs.

Cleo Miller, Erica Brochu and Mikaela Brown all grabbed a hit for the Blue Devils (1-9).

Girls’ lacrosse

Messalonskee 13, Oxford Hills 10

PARIS — Sidney Gagne scored seven times for Messalonskee as the Eagles edged Oxford Hills 13-10 in girls’ lacrosse action Wednesday. Kristin Kern added three for Messalonskee (7-0), and Izzy Skinner stopped 10 shots.

Kristin Gamache and Amanda Hanning led the way for the Vikings (0-6) with three goals each, and Sam Bickford turned back 11 shots in goal.
